⛔️ Abu Dhabi Court Orders Scam Payout After Fake Maid Ad
A simple Instagram scroll turned expensive for a man in Abu Dhabi after he fell for a misleading recruitment ad. The post promised domestic worker placement services, and the man paid AED7,000 upfront, but the maid never showed up.
The case quickly made its way to court, and the ruling was crystal clear: the scammer must return the AED7,000 and pay an additional AED7,000 in compensation for financial and emotional harm.
Total payout AED14,000… Whoopsss!
