Abu Dhabi Goes Fully Automatic For Parking
Abu Dhabi is introducing a fully automated parking system that removes the need for tickets, cash, or card payments, moving toward a fully digital parking experience 💳✨
The system uses ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) 📸 to detect vehicles on entry and exit, with parking fees automatically deducted from the driver’s Darb e-wallet 💰📱
Operated by Q Mobility, the rollout will be phased 🛣️ starting with select multistorey and private parking areas, aiming to improve efficiency, reduce congestion, and cut down parking violations 🚦👍

Abu Dhabi Rent Freeze Announced But Some Areas Are Excluded
Abu Dhabi has introduced a 0% rent increase freeze on tenancy renewals, covering residential, commercial, and industrial properties, meaning no rent hikes during the temporary measure. 🏠
However, not all areas are included ⚠️ Communities under the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) framework… such as Al Maryah Island and Reem Island are excluded from the freeze.
Existing rules still apply in excluded zones 📊 These areas continue under the 5% annual rent cap, while the rest of Abu Dhabi will base renewals on the last registered “Tawtheeq” rent for stability. Read more
